7–13 DECEMBER 2007
 Bursa Silk Road Film Festival, which was first organized last
year between 13-17 December 2006 and which is the first international film festival of
Bursa, let the people of the city and all cinema lovers to experience a cinema feast. The
International Bursa Silk Road Festival, by presenting films from many countries including;
Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Sweden, Lebanon, Hungary, Spain, USA, Japan, France, Germany
and many others, showed its axis from the very first year and became a developing festival
with its more than forty film screenings, side activities and famous guests.

13th Festival of European Films
Around the World with the Festival on Wheels: 40,702
kilometres in 13 years.
Organised by the Ankara Cinema Association with the support of the Ministry of Culture and
Tourism, the Municipality of Kars, Statoil and Akman Holding, the 13th
Festival of European Films – Festival on Wheels is set to unroll from 2-25 November
2007. Between those dates, the festival will travel a distance of 5051 km between Ankara, Kars,
Samsun and Sarajevo, presenting some 90 films from 26 different countries. And by the end
of this the 13th edition, the festival will have covered a total of 40,702 km
– the equivalent of circling the globe.
Alongside a line-up of excellent, often award-winning long, short and documentary films,
the Festival on Wheels includes a full programme of parallel events such as Q&A
sessions, panel discussions, concerts, workshops and exhibitions. Meanwhile in Kars, some
300 festival guests will be hosted by the Lord Mayor, Naif Alibeyoğlu. The city will be
holding countless workshops, while the streets of Kars will be transformed into a cinema
platform for the duration of the festival.

BAVARIAN FILMS IN ANTALYA
 Bavarian Film Days" held within the scope of the 3rd International Eurasia Film
Festival and the 44th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival hosted many gladsome events. The
one to one meeting of Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism Mr. Ertuğrul Günay and
Bavaria State Secretary Mr. Eberhard Sinner who had been in Antalya for the award ceremony
of the Festival had experienced events enhancing the ties of friendship and cooperation
between Bavaria FFF fund and Turkish film makers. Plans were developed for increasing the
mutual cooperation in the cinema sector along with increasing the cultural exchange. Mr
Sinner invited Mr. Günay to the Nürnberg Turkish-German Film Festival to be organized
next year in Nürnberg city of Bavaria State.
Other esteemed Bavarian guests attending the festival within the Bavarian Film Days came
together with the Turkish filmmakers at a cocktail reception held on October 27. ...

8th International Izmir Short
Film Festival Finalists
